We are truly overwhelmed by the incredible support we’ve received since Sunday’s incident, where a group of 10 diners left without paying their bill. With over 1.3 million views on our Facebook post, we’ve seen an outpouring of compassion and kindness that has been both humbling and heart-warming.
The issue was never about the money, but rather the attitude and complete disregard for the service industry. It is a sad reality that some people think this kind of behaviour is acceptable. While we are aware of the individuals involved and the police are investigating, we hope this serves as an important life lesson for them.
Over the last few days, we’ve experienced both the worst and the very best of human nature. We’ve been deeply touched by the numerous messages from people offering support and even donations to cover the bill. Whilst I’ve, of course, declined these generous offers, the kindness shown has been a much-needed reminder of the good in the world.
What we have truly taken from this experience is that, despite the challenges we all face, there are still many decent, honest, and compassionate people in our communities. We are lucky enough to call you our friends, customers, and neighbours.
